glitches w/ wine on ubuntu

I am using qucsstudio4.3.1 on ubuntu 22.04. ubuntu comes with wine 6.0.3

I have 2 issues

1)
maximize QS window.
double click on any component to edit properties
-> Properties window opens, but also the QS window restores (de-maximizes)
I have to maximize the QS window after editing a property

2)
when drawing wires, the ‘air wires” are only shown partially. They are fully visible only after a left mouse button click (fixating a section of the wire)
-> see attached screenshot.

Can I do anything about this?

Hm, seems to be a Linux problem. Sorry, I don’t know about a workaround. I think this can only be avoided internally by a different drawing method.

Should I try it with the newest wine? I used 6.. Wine7 is already out.

FYI: Its not a problem with builtin wine dlls. Issues remain if I switch to native dlls.

I don’t think that Wine7 will fix this problem. It is not a DLL issue, either. It seems to come from the Linux graphic system, kind of aliasing problem that puts the line one pixel outside the painting area. A quick and dirty solution would be to increase the line width to 2 pixels. Hm, not that nice…
