This is an oversimplified optimization schematic in v 3.3.2 using the library hicumL2v2p33 transistor with default model parameters. It works fine here.  Copying the schematic to the v4.2.2 environment  an error message appears

Error in ‘Error’: Unknown variable ‘VCE.V’ in equation “1+VCE.V-VCE.V”.

As if the voltage of a labeled node could not be accessed.
