How do I add a component with a complex impedance, for example, Z=10+20*j, conveniently in QUCS-S.  I know I can use RLC circuit to do that, but my load impedance is a variable dynamically calculated somewhere else.

        Try something like this.

That didn’t work.  In fact, that is how I started, and got me in trouble because it never complained or type checked.  You can do a sanity check and find that it only took the real part or something like that.

This doesn’t work either by using a voltage controlled current source.  Apparently, conductance G can’t be complex either.  It doesn’t complain but just gives a wrong answer.

Ok. I will answer my own question.  Using “Frequency Domain” component works (under system components).

See attached for a complex load in series.

                or matrix type “A”
