The example circuit called simple_amplifier works fine. But change the transistor to 2N3904 and it stops working. There will be lots of warnings like this:

Warning in ‘HB1’: Inserting 1 GOhm at HB node 26/36.

Warning in ‘HB1’: Inserting 1 GOhm at HB node 32/36.

Warning in ‘HB1’: Inserting 1 GOhm at HB node 32/36.

Warning in ‘HB1’: Inserting 1 GOhm at HB node 26/36.

To fix the problem open up the transistor model properties and change Xcjc to 1.0. Now the simulation works but the transistor model has been altered.

      Is this a bug?

        I could reproduce it.

Hi, I have just installed uSimmics and I’m trying the HB simulator.

It seems to me that it performs much better than in qucs, in particular it converges much more easier. However, I suggest to use one trick: if you want to pump the non linear device in deep compression use to sweep the power of generator from low power level up to compression. The simulator probably uses, as initial condition at the i-step, the output of the previous power step (i-1), this facilitates the convergence.

Very nice work, thanks to all developers that were engaged in uSimmics tool!!
