      Hi there,

I am unable to run the ‘PCB Layouter’, either thru the Tools menu or via ctrl-9.

      Expected: pcb program loads.

      Actual: nothing.

I have tried restarting the program and have created a couple of new projects; whether blank, with discrete bandpass components, or microstrip I cannot get the thing to run.

I am able to run other tools such as Create EM layout and I can run openEMS simulations.

I have noticed that if I have a microstrip schematic I can use “‘Transfer to PCB Layouter’ / Shift-F10” to move to the EM layout, but I am unable to export gerbers from there. A discrete schematic does not do anything if I use “‘Transfer to PCB Layouter’ / Shift-F10”.

Hey Scott, I am also Scott.

Anyways I had a similar issue last night and came across this post. I think I found your fix.

Since you are using uSimmics 5.9, you need to download the uSimmics 5.8 version.

This 5.8 version contains a file that seems to be missing from uSimmics 5.9 bin in which it.e.cad needs to open.

        file name: QtOpenGL4.dll

I simply copied and pasted this file into my uSimmics 5.9 bin folder and then it.e.cad started to work.

        I hope this works!

        Best of Luck,

        SK

Thanks a lot for the report! I’ve just renewed the ZIP archive for uSimmics 5.9. It now includes the missing QtOpenGL4.dll file. So, everything should be fine again.
