oscillations in transient sim bc/ of limited numerical resolution?

I just stumbled upon these strange spurious oscillations in a transient sim when I tried to reproduce another unrelated forum post. The simulated currents are very small. Maybe the effect is rooted in a limited numerical resolution?  It disappears if I increase the capacitance e.g. to 1 nF.

If this is basically unavoidable (bc of numerical limitations), best a warning could be added in the message output (thus the filing under “development”)
