      A feature suggestion:

Scrolling horizontal/vertical on the schematic is possible by mouse/keyboard commands. I found no option to pan directly, though

As right-click is already given to the context menu, middle mouse button hold + mouse movement could be a nice solution. I recall this assignment also from other software.

        Agree:

A single hand horz-vert scroll/zoom control would be really nice!

        Altium Designer e.g. has:

        Zoom: Middle-Mouse-Button-Hold

        Horz-Vert Scroll:  Right-Mouse-Button-Hold

The QucsStudio Right-Mouse-Button context menu is normally not used by me. To change a component I  Double click with the Left-Mouse-Button on a component or use the tool bar at the top of the QucsStudio window.

Indeed, the plan for future versions is

          * zoom with mouse wheel
          * move with right mouse button pressed
          * context menu with right mouse button click

As far as I know this is what most programs do.

              I researched a bit:

              CST Schematic view:
zoom with mouse wheel (turn wheel ‘away’ from user = zoom out)
move with mouse wheel /middle button press
context menu with right button click

              CorelDraw2019:
zoom with mouse wheel (turn wheel ‘away’ from user = zoom in)
move with mouse wheel /middle button press
context menu with right button click

              Excel365:
zoom with CTRL + mouse wheel (turn wheel ‘away’ from user = zoom in)
move with mouse wheel /middle button press
context menu with right button click

              Firefox
zoom with CTRL + mouse wheel (turn wheel ‘away’ from user = zoom in)
context menu with right button click

              Rhino-ceros CAD v5
zoom with mouse wheel (turn wheel ‘away’ from user = zoom in)
move with right mouse button press
context menu with mouse wheel /middle button press

              KiCad 6
zoom with mouse wheel (turn wheel ‘away’ from user = zoom in)
move with right mouse button press
context menu with right button click

I don’t see any argument against your plan.
Additionally I suggest making sure to set “turn wheel away from user = zoom in”
