This is the wrong thread for open-source discussion!
Nonetheless, I think I’ve already made my position clear. The problem is that there’s nobody ready to help. Sad but true. If you think that’s not the case, please prove me wrong and get involved.
If not, maybe you are right, and I should create a commercial version. Then perhaps, I get some benefit out of the immense work on this project.
Concerning the authorship of the code, I published all GPL sources that contain work of other people on this website.
The most common functions are already available. So, if you think that very important ones are missing, please give a concrete example.
I think, this is very seldom needed and using an ideal transformer should work, too.
A nice feature indeed! I will put it on the TODO list.
Because s-parameters are complex-valued, log10(…) gives a complex number, too. In rectangular diagrams, the magnitude is shown, which is always positive.
20*log10(abs(S[3,3])) is what you want.

Currently, the only possibility is to use the component name of the symbol. I.e. for the example above:
In the “model” field, replace the second token “SP” with “_15SQ47N_”.
Note that a component name must not begin with a digit, therefore the underscore at the beginning. And the schematic editor will append a number at the end in order to make the string unique, therefore the underscore at the end (for better readability).
Good luck!
Old versions are not available, because it’s strongly recommended to use the latest one. The only reason would be to convert files older than version 3, but this can be performed with the version 3.3.2-light that can still be downloaded.
What have you in mind?
Fine!
For other components, the keyword “capacitor” in the above-mentioned line can be replaced by “coil”, “BJT” or “FET”.
Yes, the symbol combobox is currently for SPICE subcircuits only. You should not use it for sNp files.
As a workaround, you can choose “edit” and in the “model” field append the following line:
“polar” 0 “linear” 0 “open” 0 “none” 0 “capacitor” 0
Note: The first character in the line above is a space!
In the main menu “Project” choose “Import Library…”, then select the files and enter a name for the new library. Finally, press “Convert” button.
That’s all, good luck!
Yes, you’re right! Many thanks for reporting this bug.
It will be fixed in the next version.
2. December 2021 at 16:39 in reply to: Circuit Examples Link on the Examples Page of the Website is broken #1055You’re right, this page is obsolete. I’ve just deleted this link.
Many thanks for the hit!
PLease provide an example that shows the bug. Otherwise nobody can help here!
Many thanks for the excellent bug report! It’s nice to see that there are still people who know how to do this. 🙂
The bug will be fixed in the next version.
